Check who the people behind the business are. Our directors Wayne & Harrison Ormerod have over 45 years of experience between them in the whisky industry. Vist our about us page.
Does the company have a good reputation? Check company reviews. We have over 1,700 verified reviews on TrustPilot. These are left by sellers who have used our services.
Don't just go with the highest valuations! Our valuations are based on what we can comfortably achieve for you without over promising. We don't top our valuations up just so you choose us. Check to see if a past result can be provided if you're unsure. There's very few bottles we've not sold! We have history for every bottle we have sold dating back to 2012.
Don't compare auction valuations to what you may have seen for sale online. Online retailers tend to have a markup of between 30%-60% on discontinued whisky. They also have 20% VAT to pay on the sale price. So their net profit is considerably less than the price they are asking for. Taking this into account is why it's not realistic to compare an auction valuation to what you may see being offered online.

Such an easy stress free way to sell your whiskey. And I received well over the evaluation price. They sent a courier to come and collect the whiskey from my house. I was kept up to date throughout the process, could easily view the online bidding and was paid long before the due date. Great experience as a first time lister. Having not used an auction site to sell whiskey previously, I think there can be a certain amount of trepidation in the entire process. It was a simple, clear and easy to follow journey and payment was received on the day they said it would. Will certainly use again both as a lister and purchaser. Would highly recommend.

Great experience of selling my Whisky. From start to finish I was kept fully informed with any questions answered promptly. Very good website, being able to see the auction taking place easily. The end of auction idea, that if an item gets a bid within the last 10 minutes, then the end deadline resets for another 10 minutes, is fun to watch(and generates a higher price!!).Once the auction was over the money was in my account exactly when stated, with a clear breakdown of costs and the value of the bottles sold. I’ve always been a bit sceptical about selling my whisky but selling through Whisky Online and with Wayne’s help was a pleasure.

I don't know anything about whisky so it was a relief to find a friendly company who obviously know a lot and helped me to sell a few bottles at auction. They were really helpful while I was trying to find out which bottles to sell. The whole process was straight forward, they sent me shipping labels to print out, the box was then collected by a courier and all I had to do was sit back and wait for the auction to finish. A few weeks later I have money in the bank.
