This was one of eight single cask 1965 Springbanks bottled by the Society and is a particularly rare example.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom the archives. \"Slightly Sour Like Madeira\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLovely old coppery red, viscous, forming beads at the rim. It is strongly sherried, with a slight sourness you sometimes find in an Oloroso or Madeira cask. The nose develops with time to yield fruit, mostly pears or persimmons. The taste is rich but not sweet, and the aftertaste is dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMost elegant, to be taken as an aperitif or with game.
