These versatile stills allowed a different style of spirit to be produced alongside Miltonduff's traditional pot still malt, with the resulting whisky given the Mosstowie name.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProduction of Mosstowie ceased in 1981 when the Lomond stills were removed, making it a particularly scarce lost make.
