Drawn from a single cask and bottled at natural cask strength of 52.6%, with just 247 bottles produced.

Macallan from the 1970s is particularly sought after, representing an important period in the distillery's history, long before the considerable expansion in production and worldwide demand that followed. During this time, Macallan was building its reputation for rich, sherry-influenced single malts, with much of its production still destined for blended Scotch whisky.

Selected and bottled independently by Douglas Laing, this 29 year old offers an opportunity to explore Macallan from this earlier era, following almost three decades in oak. With only 247 bottles drawn from the cask, it is an increasingly scarce example of 1970s Macallan from one of Scotland's best-known independent bottlers.

Macallan 1977-2006 - 29 Year Old - Douglas Laing - Old & Rare Platinum Selection - Single Cask-Lot Id:0726-184
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0529/0036/4446/files/0726-184-1_303a73a4-b543-4087-b8b5-a9335e3445fc.jpg?v=1793223556
https://whisky-onlineauctions.com/products/macallan-1977-2006-29-year-old-douglas-laing-old-rare-platinum-selection-single-cask-lot-id-0726-184
