The whisky was eventually bottled from a refill sherry butt at 43%, after more than half a century of maturation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA remarkable single cask Macallan from one of Gordon \u0026amp; MacPhail’s oldest stocks, distilled in 1950 and matured for more than 55 years in refill sherry butt 1681.
