During this period Redbreast was a traditional single pot still Irish whiskey, distilled at John Jameson \u0026amp; Son's famous Bow Street distillery in Dublin. Whiskey production at Bow Street ceased in 1971 following the consolidation of production at the new Midleton Distillery in County Cork.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGilbeys had a long relationship with John Jameson \u0026amp; Son, purchasing Jameson whiskey and maturing it in their own casks before bottling it under the Redbreast name.
