The design of the bottle and the whiskey so impressed Colonel Overton that he sold Jack Daniel's exclusively and offered Lem Motlow a partnership in the bar! In 1971, they produced a special limited-edition of the Maxwell House Bottle. These 1\/2 gallon decanters were only available in the United States. They were very popular and highly sought after, and soon became very hard for collectors to find.
