The maltings had differed from the modern process in several respects, including the use of peat, giving this whisky an unusual link to an earlier style of Glenmorangie production.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDistilled in 1974 and bottled in 1999, making the whisky approximately 24 or 25 years old, the Original Maltings was restricted to just 2,000 individually numbered 50cl bottles at 43%.
