Glendronach would close temporarily in 1996 before returning to production in 2002, making these considerably earlier vintages increasingly sought after.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGordon \u0026amp; MacPhail established their Connoisseurs Choice series in 1968, with the range becoming an important showcase for single malt whisky at a time when many distilleries were little known outside the blending trade.
