Situated in Saint-Estèphe on the left bank of the Gironde, the estate is particularly associated with Cabernet Sauvignon-led wines noted for their structure, longevity and ability to develop over extended periods in bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 1982 vintage is regarded as one of the landmark Bordeaux vintages of the late 20th century, with exceptionally warm and favourable growing conditions producing rich, concentrated wines. Château Montrose itself lists 1982 among a small group of its vintages that it considers legendary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis was produced during the ownership of the Charmolüe family, whose association with Montrose extended through much of the 20th century.
