No box.

A 1967 vintage Bruichladdich, distilled on 15 February 1967 and aged for 32 years before being released as part of the distillery's First Cask series. Drawn from single cask #967, this rare Islay single malt was bottled at 46%, with this particular example individually numbered bottle 8.

Bruichladdich whisky from the 1960s represents an important period in the distillery's history, long before its closure in 1994 and subsequent revival in 2001. During this era, Bruichladdich was producing a relatively light, elegant and largely unpeated style of Islay single malt, quite different from the heavily peated whiskies traditionally associated with the island.

The First Cask series offered an opportunity to explore some of the distillery's oldest surviving stocks, with individual casks selected from its historic inventory. This particular release was drawn from an unblended cask, preserving the individual character of whisky distilled more than three decades earlier.

An interesting and increasingly scarce example of 1960s Bruichladdich, bottled before the distillery's modern revival and offering a glimpse into an earlier chapter of its history.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0529/0036/4446/files/0726-412-1_ac93d1f2-87bc-4fac-8006-11525e319233.jpg?v=1793225575
https://whisky-onlineauctions.com/products/bruichladdich-1967-32-year-old-first-cask-single-cask-967-lot-id-0726-412
