One bottle of Macallan 40 year old released as part of the distillery’s red collection, the complete series comprises of the following age statements 40yo - 50yo - 60yo - 71yo - 74yo and 78-year-old whiskies and is described as an exquisite range of distinguished and rare single malt scotch whiskies. the Macallan master whisky maker Kirsteen Campbell presents a peerless single malt whisky that has slowly matured over five extraordinary decades under the watchful eye of generations of whisky makers until it has reached this perfect moment of maturation. the ‘new make’ spirit from the Macallan's small copper stills was laid down in hand-picked oak casks and left to mature for Fourty years. during these decades of slumber, the carefully selected wood shaped the unique character of the whisky delivering the natural colour, distinctive aromas and full flavours of this aged single malt.

All bottles are checked by our whisky specialists Wayne & Harrison Ormerod prior to any auction. We do not auction opened bottles so therefore all items are sealed unless stated under certain circumstances where seals were never issued by the producer.

No item is deemed new, however many items are generally in good condition. When this is not the case, we aim to mention any faults in the description. The images supplied are of the actual item you will receive. If the filling level of the liquid is not visible in the images provided, we aim to indicate the current position in the description.
